How to do Touchscreen Calibration of Sony Xperia Tipo & Tipo dual

Screen calibration is needed for many Android gadgets. It is a process of easily adjusting the settings of a phone or tablet touchscreen in order to boost the optimal responsiveness of your touches. Some companies like Samsung roll out their devices with calibration done at their factories. Some devices especially low-end gadgets often come without calibration and so their touchscreen won’t be working much smoother.

Sony Xperia Tipo or Tipo dual is the Japan tech maker’s low-end Android phone with a price below Rs. 9000. It has been one of the widely sold entry level phones in Android markets in emerging markets like India. But, a big number of users have reported that its touchscreen was not doing well and sticky to the smoother movements of fingers. The best idea to fix the problem is to calibrate the device. Here we tell you how to do it step by step in this tutorial.

A tool named “TouchFWTools” is there to let you resolve the issue with the Sony Xperia Tipo and Tipo dual. Before installing it, get through our guide on how to do touchscreen calibration of Sony Xperia Tipo & Tipo dual nicely.

How to Calibrate Xperia Tipo Touchscreen?

  • Download “TouchFWTools”. It is available for free download from TouchFWTools.apk
  • Transfer the downloaded .apk file to the device’s SD card. You can do it either via Bluetooth or data cable.
  • Enable “Unknown Sources” in the Settings of your device. You can do it moving to the Settings > Security, and checking “Unknown sources” there. It is way you can give permission for non-market apps to install in your Android device.
  • Open file manager (if your device has one) and locate the .apk file and install it. If your device has no file manager, just install either of “File Commander” or “Easy Installer” to detect and install the apk. Both these tools are available for free download on Play Store.
  • After you run the TouchFWTools, using file manger or Easy Installer, you will get a “calibration” button on the screen.
  • Put the device on a flat desk. Don’t move the device while the process of calibration is on the going. It will harm your device.
  • Press the button “calibrate.” Now it will take a few moments to finish the process of calibration. Don’t pick up or move your device during the process.
  • Check the touchscreen; it will be working fine now. You are done.

This is simply the process of calibration. It will refine the touchscreen performance of your Sony Xperia Tipo or Tipo dual’s performance. It will work with your device with no problem unless you update the software or go back to the factory settings. In such cases, you need to calibrate the screen again. In fact, the process will not cause any harm to your device, which will surely perform far greater after the process of calibration.
